Why Would BANS Sites On INFO Domains Be Deindexed?
June 3, 2008 by Beau
In the last post "Why were My BANS Sites Deindexed By Google" I wrote about how several BANS sites that I recently built on INFO TLDs had been deindexed. In that post I outlined some of the potential reasons for their deindexing. In this post I want to look at the possibility of these sites having been deindexed because they were on an INFO TLD.
At first I was hesitant to build a web site on an INFO domain. Although, up until this point, I had only built about ten web sites, they had all been on COM domains. With COM domains I have never had any problems being indexed. Moreover, none of the sites had ever been deindexed. I wanted to make sure that the INFO TLD would not be a major issue. After a little research I was convinced that the Google algorithm does not treat domain TLDs differently. But, like so many other things having to do with search engines, and Google in particular, things change. On May 1st Google took steps to purge its index of many of the INFO domains.

Why Were My BANS Sites Removed From Google’s Index?
June 3, 2008 by Beau
I am fairly new to Internet marketing and am just now learning how to make money online. One of the first strategies that I am learning to utilize to make money online is eBay’s Partner Network (EPN), utilizing the BANS script. I have run into a few glitches in building my first few BANS stores.
A month ago I jumped on the INFO domain band wagon. I bought 75 of those little buggers. The plan was to build out BANS stores and highly focused niche sites. With the INFO TLD being so cheap this would really make it affordable for me to quickly build a large network of potentially profitable sites. However, it seems as of May 1st Google has done a mass de-indexing of most of the .info TLD.
Before this happened I had already built 5 BANS stores. The sites indexed fairly quickly. But, within a week they were removed from Google’s index. That was around May 1st. A week or so later I built two more BANS sites on INFO domains. I went ahead and built the two sites because I thought they were simply victims of Google’s INFO TLD purge. At first i thought this assertion was correct because these sites were quickly indexed.

Keyword Research The Hard Way
May 22, 2008 by Beau
Over the past couple of weeks I have been spending a lot of time learning how to build BANS sites. There are three challenges to building BANS sites, keyword research, building links, and getting indexed. In this post I want to focus on what I have learned about keyword research. I’ve learned there are basically two was to do keyword research the hard way and the easy way. I will be going over both ways of doing keyword research. But, in this post I am only going to cover the hard way to do keyword research.
Whether you do keyword research the hard way or the easy way the quality of the results is still dependent on your understanding of the niche you are targeting and your ability to choose keywords the right way.
As we all know the goal with keyword research is to find keywords or keyword phrases that search users might use to find our web site, blog or whatever. Because no one person thinks like another and our individual experiences influence how complete tasks being able to develop a list of targeted keywords is a key factor in online success.

The Truth About Making Money Online
April 10, 2008 by Beau
In my last post Changes in Focus And Making Real Money I spoke about some recent changes in my thinking about making money online and how that had inspired me to make a few changes here at TzuVelli.
When I first started researching and learning how to blog I put a lot of time and effort into reading the traditional blogs about making money online. One thing I realized was that none of them really taught me how to make money online. Out of the three hundred blogs that I read, at the time, not one blogger laid out a plan a true strategy for making money online. most of what I learned centered around building readership, RSS, and social media traffic so you can sell ad space. It made sense, at the time. But, selling ad space is not a strategy for making money online, it is a strategy for selling ad space online.
The truth about making money online is that most bloggers in the make money online niche cannot teach you how to make money online, because they themselves do not know how to make money. I started TzuVelli because I realized that most make money bloggers didn’t have a clue what they were talking about. (more…)

Changes in Focus And Making Real Money
April 10, 2008 by Beau
I have not been posting to TzuVelli as I would like. Part of the reason for this is that I have really been struggling with finding a focus for this blog that I feel comfortable with. Part of my discomfort has had to do with what I was writing about. I wanted to write about making money online because I want to learn how to make money online. Obviously, before I can confidently write about making money online i have to start making money online.
Some of the time that I have spent away from TzuVelli has been used trying to find strategies for making money online. I have been looking for repeatable money making strategies. Strategies that do not have giant barriers to entry. For making money online i would define barriers to entry to be needing huge readership, a large number of RSS readers, or a large email list.

Keyword Research For Keyword Sniping
April 10, 2008 by Beau
In my last post, I wrote about making money with keyword sniping and why I thought it was a fantastic strategy to make money online. I would like to emphasize that keyword sniping is not only a great strategy for making money but it is the perfect strategy for someone beginning to learn how to make money online. The strategy is perfect for a beginner because it emphasizes knowing the basics; such as, keywords, SEO, link building, the basics of building out a blog and developing targeted content.
If you did not read my last post, let me say this first, I am writing about keyword sniping because I think it is a great strategy for making money online. I did not come up with the strategy. I first learned about it by reading about it on (more…)

Making Money Online With Keyword Sniping
April 1, 2008 by Beau
I had planned on doing a long in depth series of posts on how to do keyword research. The reality of it is that there is a lot out there already on keyword research. So, instead, I decided to focus on how to use keywords to make money.
I am getting ready to start implementing a strategy I learned reading Courtney Tuttle’s Internet marketing blog. He calls it keyword sniping. I think its a great starting point for learning how to make money online.
I read Court’s first post on keyword sniping several months ago. But, frankly, I was too busy doing other things and did not have time to look at it further. Now, I seem to have a bit more time on my hands and am ready to dive into learning how to make money online.

Taking A Step Back To Find Your Blog’s Voice
March 29, 2008 by Beau
Its been about 2 weeks since I posted at TzuVelli. My Goal for this blog is for it to be a place that I can learn about blogging, Internet marketing, blog promotion, making money online and maybe connect with other people that have the same goals. Unfortunately, I have been a bit ill recently and have not had a lot of energy for research and writing much less anything else.
I have an inner ear problem. When it is active I loose about 50% of the hearing in the affected ear and suffer from bouts of vertigo that last for about 3 hours. These aren’t simple dizzy spells. My entire world turns upside down. It is completely debilitating. Once the vertigo has subsided, I am physically exhausted. I have been suffering from these for about six weeks with about one bout of vertigo a day. Today is actually the first day that I have not had vertigo. In some ways, though, the vertigo has been a blessing in disguise. If you look hard enough there is always a silver lining in a dark cloud.

TzuVelli Phase One Finally Complete
March 15, 2008 by Beau
I have not had as much time as I would have liked to devote to TzuVelli. What little time I have had has been devoted to creating the resources for each category. Honestly, I created the category resources because I am the most unorganized person, when it comes to bookmarks. I tend to bookmark all kinds of resources and then forget about them. And, when I do need the bookmark I have to look back across three different computers. Talk about time consuming.
So, I decided to organize these bookmarks on the landing page of each related category. I could have just written a few resource posts for each category but posts tend to get pushed to the back and forgotten about. Besides these are resources that I plan on using, updating and adding to often. So, I wanted them to be where I could easily gt at them. Not everything is currently included on the resource lists, yet. But, as I continue to clean up the bookmarks and spreadsheets I have and come across other resources I’ll add them.

Build Traffic With Forums: 6 Key Forum Characteristics
March 11, 2008 by Beau
Forums are a brilliant way to promote your blog or website. But, you must promote yourself, and your blog, in the right way. Forums are communities of like minded people with strong similar interests. When you join a forum you are joining a community. In general, long term forum members are very protective of their community and view new members suspiciously. Primarily new members are viewed suspiciously due to over-zealous marketers attempting to game forums by spamming them.
DO NOT TRY TO GAME FORUMS. You will be quickly banned. Become an active member and add value to the forum. Once you are seen as a valued member traffic will flow from the forum to your blog. But, before then, participating in forums is about building relationships; not links, not traffic, just relationships. Above all else who you know and how you are viewed by other elite forum members will dictate your success at the forum.
Forums are best used for networking and building relationships. If you gain traffic from forum participation then that is icing on the cake. The relationships you develop from participating in forums can be far more valuable than any traffic you may receive.
