Spring Is In The Air – Thinking Of Buying A Gas Grill
I obviously do not post here very often any more. But, I plan on changing that soon. Right now, like everyone else I am slogging through this bitter cold winter and horrible economy. But, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Winter is coming to a close, and the experts say the economy is starting to recover. Well lets hope they are right. My thoughts are mainly on Spring and how to have as much fun as possible. One thing I have been thinking about is having a regular barbecue with friends and family. There is no better way to bond with friends and family than a good old fashioned barbecue. The only thing is I don’t have a grill. Hmmmm, what should I buy. Gas grills, charcoal grills, infrared grills, its all so confusing. What do you buy. Everyone has their opinion about what the best type of gas grill is.
I definitely do not want one of those giant gas grills, like those you see on those cook-off shows. But, I don’t want one that is too small ether.
I guess the truth of the matter is that I am totally clueless as to what would be the best type of grill to get. I definitely know I do not want a charcoal grill. Just too much stuff to bother with. And, to be honest I am not too keen on how charcoal is made. To me destroying trees for backyard fun does not seem very green or environmentally responsible.
So I think I have settled on buying a gas grill. Even narrowing down the type of grill I want really does nothing to make the choice easier or better. Once I decided on a gas grill as opposed to one fueled by charcoal or electricity, I was confronted with which type of gas grill to buy. Now there is a choice for you. Do you buy a natural gas grill, a propane grill, an lp gas grill. If you worry about the pros and cons about each you will get quickly overwhelmed.
What I decided was I would chose the fuel that is most predominantly available at the camping stores near me and the what would be most available on a regular basis. So, I chose to buy a gas grill fueled by natural gas.
Now I haven’t bought this yet. And knowing me I will probably change my mind several times before I make an actual purchase. But, for me, the most important thing, in choosing a gas grill, is going to be ease of use. The whole idea is to be able to bring together friends and family and have some fun. So, ease of use is going to be very important.
The next thing I am going to consider, is how easy the grill is to clean up. If it is not easy to clean then it won’t be fun to use.
Anyway the whole point here is that Spring is in the air and barbecuing, grilling is a great way to reconnect with friends and family that you may have lost contact with during the winter. Spring may not be here yet, but I sure am looking forward to it.
